Flawed fabric sample policy

Wicker Paradise expects you to return the samples YOU PAID FOR at YOUR EXPENSE EVEN IF YOU DON'T PURCHASE THEIR CUSHIONS. I paid $26.00 for 5 samples, as offered on their website. Their enclosed letter asked me to send back the samples at my expense once I made a selection. I didn't select any and called to see about getting a credit once I returned them. BOTTOM LINE: If you don't order from Wicker Paradise... NO REFUND FOR SAMPLES. even if you return them AT YOUR EXPENSE. $26.00 will be credited to your purchase IF you make a purchase. I questioned the policy twice and the guy got nasty and said, 'Lady do whatever you want.' Then I heard him complaining to a co worker that I was giving him a hard time.

Was looking for good quality white wicker rocking chairs. The picture in the Wicker Paradise online add showed and described a nice looking chair with multiple cushion choices at a discount from $524.

This was a reasonable price for a chair with cushions so I ordered them. The add implied a shipping delay of up to 8 weeks. (I assumed that the chairs and cushions might be coming from overseas.)
The cushions arrived in about two weeks and I expected the chairs would arrive later. When I questioned the company several weeks later, they said I had only ordered cushions!

In checking my order forms and the fine print in their deceptive add, I realized I had been scammed.

They then offered me the chairs at an inflated price of $300 each over and above what I had paid for the cushions! I of course declined their offer and have not heard from them since.

Replacement cushions scam but owner is worse!

The cushions that were advertised as the same size and priced as replacement cushions for Lane Venture wicker furniture arrived with seat cushions almost 2 inches more narrow than the back cushions, making them completely dysfunctional. The quality was very poor with cushion thickness and construction more like what you buy at the drugstore then what you get at a fine establishment like Wicker East Replacements, which is where I recommend everyone order replacement cushions. What was worse then the delivery was being hung up on when I offered to ship them all back at my own expense, accused of not measuring my cushions by the owner, waiting 4 months for my credit card company to finally settle my disputed claim in my favor and then getting sued by the owner 2 months after the credit card company decision. This will be the worst rip off and abuse by a business owner that you will ever experience.

I recently purchased sofa and chair cushions for my 13 year old Gloster Teak Ventura model furniture. This company advertised “Cushions Made to Fit Gloster Teak Ventura Sofa Replacement Cushions” and “Cushions Made to Fit Gloster Teak Ventura Deep Seating Chair Cushions”.

Online instructions said to measure the inner dimensions of the sofa, width and depth and advise NOT to measure existing cushions. After 4 weeks I get the cushions and the backs are about 3” too tall! Upon emailing the company to see why this could be I get the response that “over the years the frame backs were made 2” taller” Why would I think that the size of my furniture had changed? Why does the company not tell their potential customers to measure the height of their furniture or existing cushions for this particular Gloster set to make sure they order the right size because the furniture size has changed?

When I pressed the owner further in an attempt to get the correct sized backs, he or she states: “You received exactly what was stated online. You can get someone in your local area to cut them down.” Incredulous, I asked why are they purposefully misleading customers when they have the knowledge that the furniture size has changed.

I further said they should be ashamed of their response and this is the worst customer service I have ever experienced, I get this reply: “I am very proud of my responsiveness. Perhaps you should learn to take responsibility for your own error.” DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT buy from Wicker Paradise aka replacementcushionsonline.com

Mildew

I ordered new cushions in April and received them in June. They were replacement cushions for my Lloyd and Flanders wicker patio furniture. Ordering them was easy-they wanted the sale. We were initially pleased with them when they arrived in June. Within three months one of the cushions had mildew on it that would not come off. When I called to complain I was told I should have covered it. My original cushions were on the same covered patio for 15 years without any mildew! My sister's Sam's Club cushions have been on an open deck, uncovered for years! This is ridiculous. I would never recommend this company to anyone!

I purchased replacement cushions from Vince to put in my sunroom. The pattern I picked was guarded tend to be sun resistant and strong. While not Sunbrella, my choice, he told me this would last for a good while and I would be more than happy with it. Since it also stated the same on the websit I believed him. He personally ordered with me because I wanted to get the right this. These cushions faded within less than 2months. When I called to complain, and I never raised my voice he did, he told me the only thing he would do is make up new ones at a charge to me. They would be Sunbrella. He would not issue any warranty at all. I contacted amex and placed a complaint. He cursed me out. I never lost my temper. He did. Shows you what a company you are dealing with.

Wicker Paradise - Horrible Customer Service
I ordered a mirror from them that their website had listed as in stock and ready to ship in 2-3 days. One month later it arrives broken. When I called to report the problem, the guy didn't seem to care much about the inconvenience of waiting a month to receive a broken product or the fact that their website reports incorrect stock levels. I calmly expressed my disappointment in his causal manner. I also told him how poorly it was packed (See 1/4" shabby Styrofoam it was protected with in picture below) His response was that this is standard packaging and that this was the first mirror of the season to arrive broken. Well, then I suppose I have nothing else to say on that subject! Shoddy packaging is standard and I was the only unlucky bloke to receive something broken this season, so suck it up. Next, after I suggested that apologizing for the inconvenience may go a long way, his response was that an apology wouldn't do anything anyway and if I don't like it I am free to purchase the mirror elsewhere. Again, this man doesn't like people to point out any deficiencies in his business or attitude and why do or say anything to show even the littlest bit of concern for someone who shelled out over $350 for a mirror. Customers are a dime a dozen, so why bother even pretending to care about them. Now here was the fatal error on my part. The disclosure that would seal the deal for him. I told him, unfortunately their company is the only company that sells the mirror at which he said, "Ma'am, I'm refunding your money. You can find the mirror somewhere else." So not are only is their customer service a text-book example of how to join the ranks of most hated businesses, they are vindictive, as well. What goes around comes around : ) BTW, I just tried posting this review on their Yahoo review site and it wouldn't post. I cleared the post 4 times and it still would not post. I then created a post relaying this information but gave it 5 stars and voila it went through! This company is a piece of work!

Didn't phone back as promised; refused retroactive sale price request

Received delivery on a Friday of a wicker patio set. Good enough. Called on Monday to ask if there were matching seat pads (for other of my patio furniture) and was told by a mature-sounding gentleman he would call back in 10 minutes with size availability. Mentioned I'd just seen online that my set was now on sale at 10% off--could I take advantage of the sale. Was told no, and didn't receive a call back subsequently. It is a lesson in shopping with the big guys...who typically offer a price-matching policy, or offer to refund a sale price if your purchase was made within 7 to 14 days of a sale.

Ordered replacement cushions for sofa and chair. Received cushions but they were the seat cushions were the wrong style. The back cushions were the right style. Called and was just told tough luck - they denied that I received the wrong seat cushions, and the invoice did not show the style name/number. So I had no choice but to try and make them fit onto the sofa and chair. They are rectangular cushions and I needed rounded corners - the back cushions have rounded corners. Now, three months later, the seat cushions are starting to buckle - very poor quality - the fabric is wrinkled

Wicker paradise-more like wicker ***

Paid for furniture in mid July. 3 delivery dates set with no delivery or even a phone call. Customer service inept and uncaring "Well sometimes things get lost". Wasted 16 hours at home waiting for this furniture, now hoping at least our refund will be processed efficiently. Will never do business with this company again and would like to spare others this supreme disregard for time and money. As a result of this time wasted we now will not have this furniture for a function and don't have additional time to look now. Complete and total waste of time and resources.

Ordered 2 rattan chairs that arrived a few weeks late. Delivery only occurred after we made 2 phone calls to inquire about the order One of the chairs had a broken rocker arm. Called the company and they agreed to ship a replacement part. They shipped a part that was stained the wrong color and the 2nd attempt resulted in shipping a part of the wrong size and color. When we phoned to see what was going on we were told that the individual did not have time to investigate our complaint IMO the chair quality is poor for the price. Wish I had gone with Pier 1

Extremely rude/warranty issue

My sofa that I ordered last fall began pilling. I never thought the cushions fit well but didn't complain. I emailed and asked them to replace the fabric. I had to go back and forth for a month before they agreed to replace the fabric. When I asked them to replace the whole cushions and I would send back the old ones (I was worried about the new covers fitting the old cushions), I received an extremely rude email telling me "that it is not up to me to dictate their warranty policy". I would never, ever order from there again. Awful customer service.

Rude, rip off, worst buying experience I've ever had.

Ordered patio chairs, wrong size and most uncomfortable chairs ever. Like sitting on rocks. Went to return and the guy yelled at me and hung up on me. He said it was not his problem and if I wanted to return them I would have to pay shipping both ways and a restock fee. So my refund would have been nill. I was forced to keep bad chairs. I will give them to charity. I contacted the bbb and after back and forth I gave up. This guy will someday fall. Never order from this place unless you want misery!

Outdoor furniture

I ordered an outdoor sectional when it arrived at my home I can't even begin to tell you what it looked like...The sectional would only fit very small children, it was a joke. Their policy information is so small that I never saw it and wish I had. They are now making me pay for shipping both ways I was willing to pay for the return but NO now it is $400 instead of $200. I understand a restocking fee but 30% that is crazy so now they are able to keep between $1100 and $1200 dollars for nothing. Do not ever order from this company, I believe it is out of New Jersey or New York. They can sit back and just make FREE money off of the unsuspecting customers

Wicker Paradise Sold us Defective Furniture

We purchased what appeared to be a beautiful wicker set from Wicker Paradise in June 2011. The patio set consisted of 6 square chairs and 3 coffee tables with glass. The cost of the set charged to us was $2514.00, we had a coupon discount of $251.00 net total was $2,262.00. The day of the order was June 17, 2011, we received the order on about July 10th, 2011. As we opened up each of the boxes we noticed ever one of the chairs had been bent and broken. We called the business to inform them of the damage and we were treated rudely by the person answering the phone. In fact the conversation was hostile and was pointing blame on us. We requested to speak to a manager. The person hung up the phone on us. We then called back and asked to speak to a manager. A woman came to the phone and said she was the manager and owners daughter, her name was Elana. We explained the damage to the products she said she would get another set out to us to replace the damaged set. The Date we received the second set of patio chairs is now July 26, 2011. Still not complete the manager had to resend the cushions we did not receive them until August 8, 2011. Fast forward to August 2012, we called Wicker Paradise to inform them we had been out on our balcony with our family and friends and noticed that the straps were broken and falling apart. We then called Wicker Paradise and explained to them that the straps on each of the chairs were breaking apart and that it is just about 1 year ago. We spoke with Elana and she had me take photos of each of the chairs and email them to her. I took her about a week to return my inquiry.On September 13, 2012 here is her response; "I received your pictures. Thank you for sending them to me. I see 4 chairs in this picture. I cannot see the other 2 chairs from your order. So, I need to confirm if all 6 chairs are like this. Also, can you please take a picture of the seat of the chair without the bottom cushion on it (seat frame only)? I will then speak to my supplier if he can do anything since the furniture is warrantied 1 year from the date of purchase". Elana asked me to take additional photos and would text me asking questions like is there any labels or is there a name of the company on the chairs. I told her that there was not a label or name and that she should know where she ordered the set from her supplier why would I be looking to do her job. September 14 we sent communications to her and asking her to let us know what she has found out. Now the 20th of September she now has me measuring the cushions??? Don't know why but we did. After still trying to reach her it is now the 26th still no response. Finally we get and email from her on the 27th ; here is the actual email; I have spoken to my factory and have also done some research as to what we can do for you since the 1 year warranty has expired. I have chairs here that have seat cushions that are 21" wide, 24" deep and back cushions are 21" wide, 12" high. If these cushion dimensions work, I can sell you the chairs for $125 per chair, and I will also pay for the shipping costs to Colorado. If the cushion size I mentioned does not work, the chairs with cushions will cost $170 per chair. I await your response to let me know what you would like me to do,Elana of Wicker Paradise. REALLY.....they want me to pay more money for products that were defective in the beginning and this is suppose to suffice??? Well. I we sent the following email....Elana...The defective chairs are under a year from the time of receiving the product. Do remember that you had to send us the product twice due to shipping damages so we have had the product only one year!! If your telling me that the company is going to play on semantics I think this will be a huge problem. We have 6 chairs all 6 are falling apart. Not one chair but 6! We did not purchase 6 chairs and 3 coffee tables 1 year ago only to be told we have to reinvest in defective chairs again. Your solution is not only insulting but it is egregious to think that I would spend $2200.00 1 year ago and then be told to spend an additional $1,020.00 to satisfy the defective product we had been sold in the beginning. Here is our resolution, the manufacturer be disclosed. Second, they replace the entire set at no cost! I look forward to resolving this issue immediately. We have sent two other emails to Wicker Paradise without response! So today is October 17th we called the business again and asked to speak with the owner since his name is on the website. We felt as business owners ourselves we would want to know if we could resolve an issue if we could and maybe he was unaware of the problem. We left our name and number but still have gotten NO RESPONSE. This company is trying to split hairs of receiving the product to purchasing the product. How on earth do you determine the warranty is in affect at the time of purchasing when you do not even have it in your possession not once but TWICE

Rude, hung up on me

I contacted Wicker Paradise to ask about a rattan recliner -- I asked if there were any retailers carrying the chair so I could see it in person. I asked if I could come to the New York showroom and see the chair. I was told by the owner that he could not help in any way, he had no information to give me, he did not have one of these chairs in the showroom. He was rude, abrupt, told me he could not help me, and hung up in my face. Why would I ever purchase anything from this store -- this was not even indifferent customer service, this was just rude and even hostile.
